We did have worms at one point..it was like having pets. :) We are trying to broaden our compost to include bread ( we want to see if it attracts animals). Watch for my next post....we did get below 3 pounds this week. :)
Ah, you have to feed them!! I was thinking about putting compostables in the garage where they would freeze until spring when they can go in the neighbor's compost -- but worried about attracting pests. Plan to explore the impact of dumping months of (non-local) tea leaves and coffee grounds on the yard or compost, to see if I should be saving those up. While it doesn't reduce my garbage, at least it recycles it!

Not sure how much our garbage weighs but I am sure it has to much more that what yours is. Good job guys.
Have you developed your in-house compost system yet? Worms might be able to get you below 3 lbs.
